Research Interests

Our lab will use advanced technology to investigate how metabolic pathways modulate cell fate determinations, such as self-renewal, differentiation, proliferation, metastasis and drug resistance, etc., in stem cells and cancer cells. Our main research areas are: (1) The physiological functions of chaperone-mediated autophagy (CMA) in stem cells and cancer cells; (2) Metabolic regulation of tumor metastasis and drug resistance.

Honors and Awards

  • 2020 NIH NRSA T32 Institutional Training Grant

  • 2014 AACR Scholar-In-Training Award
