Life Metabolism Position Opening

Position: Scientific Editor

Location: Shanghai or Zhengzhou

Life Metabolism was launched in April 2022. Its international Editorial and Advisory Boards are served by over 80 distinguished metabolism experts. Our goal is to establish Life Metabolism as a top journal for the highest quality studies in the field of metabolism. We are now recruiting a full-time in-house scientific editor to join the team.

Job Description:

This is a full-time position. The scientific editor will work closely with the Deupy Editor-in-Chief and other colleagues to develop and shape the journal. 

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

1. Assessing submitted manuscripts, making editorial recommendations, overseeing the peer review process, editing and processing manuscripts as well; 

2. Commissioning high-quality research articles, insightful reviews and timely commentaries; 

3. Traveling to scientific conferences, academic institutes and laboratories; establishing good relationships with academic communities; 

4. Promoting the journal and articles;

5. Organizing and coordinating meetings of the journal;

6. Other work assigned by the Deputy Editor-in-Chief.

Qualifications:

1. Master degree or above in medicine or biology, or a relevant scientific discipline. Metabolism-related field is preferred;

2. Highly interested in a broad range of metabolism-relevant topics and scientific publishing. Critical thinking and the willingness to learn new ideas and techniques;

3. Good command of English and basic computer skills；

4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, a strong sense of responsibility and teamwork.
