In March 2020,  the latest research results jointly completed by Professor Hongyang Wang's research group of Fudan University and Professor Guang Ning's research group of Ruijin Hospital, was published in Gastroenterology. The study proposes and proves that blood cholesterol level is negatively correlated with the occurrence and malignant progression of liver cancer, clarifies the important role of cholesterol metabolism in the anti-tumor immune function of natural killer cells (NK), and provides new ideas and strategies for immunotherapy of liver cancer.
