Personal Profile

2020 Faculty (Endothelial biology) in the Department of Pediatrics, UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, USA
2019 Postdoctoral Fellow (Cardiovascular Biology), UT Southwestern Medical Center, USA
2014 Peking Union Medical College, Tsinghua University, China, Graduate Degree: Ph.D. (Cardiovascular Pharmacology)

Research Interests

Our laboratory is interested in the function of vascular endothelial cells in cardiometabolic diseases. We focus on the circulating or tissue metabolites contributing to the development of atherosclerosis and glucose metabolism during the metabolic disorders. We are also interested in defining novel pathway lowering lipids such as triglycerides and cholesterol. A final area of research interest focuses on novel gene manipulating tools to correct inherited cardiometabolic diseases. Research efforts in each project span from wet-to-dry, including molecular, genetic, cellular, animal model, human sample analysis and bioinformatics.
