Yajun Yang, Ph.D., Senior Engineer, Professor, Master's Supervisor, Expert of the Chinese Human Genetic Resources Administration, Ministry of Science and Technology, Member of the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Biological Samples, Vice Chair of the Biobank Branch of the Chinese Medical Biotechnology Association.

He served as the Chief Expert of the National High Technology Research and Development Program (863 Program) project "Key Technologies for the Digitization of Genetic Information". He has presided over two projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), and participated as a core member in major national projects including the 973 Program, the National Key Technology R&D Program, and the National Basic Special Project.

Since 2008, he has been engaged in the construction of population-based cohorts for environmental epidemiology in China, the investigation and genetic diversity study of genetic resources of Chinese ethnic minorities. He has also participated in the construction of the large-scale biobank of the Taizhou Cohort and the Fudan University Human Genetic Resources Sharing Platform.
